Tsukifly spring updates

SAM_5009

With the lovely sunshine over the weekend mornings I ventured out of the bed early to have a photoshoot with Freya. Some of the Tsukifly creations got updated pictures. Like the above Black/Gold framed dress.

SAM_5015

I have kept mentioning this walolita outfit in some of my previous posts and finally, here it is. It is a 5 piece outfit set with japanese red bunny fabric kimono styled bolero, pleated red upper skirt, white lace under skirt, bow tie obi and a flower headdress. A great outfit set for the coming summer time with cute little details. Sleeves are elbow length in traditional kimono style. Find the outfit set from Etsy: Red Walolita outfit.

I was inspired to try out the making of panties. So a complete set for Lillycat was created. The white corset style top was already on offer alone but I thought it needed the panties to complement it. Now I am happy with the outcome. Check the updated listing here: Lillycat white underwear set.

Previously I took the picture with Lunetta showing off the winter style by Tsukifly. The Duffle coat was part of the set but not yet available through Etsy. I assure you this cute and fluffy duffle will be available shortly. Some of the pictures still need to be resized.

March: Sweet Lolita & Cutiness

Updates now and other plans for the coming month.

I found one of my lace stashes and got inspired to use some of those for the new creations. As I also have a strong intention to use the fabrics from my box, those that I have accumulated over the years, the new pieces are from now on are likely to be both colorful as well as combinations of many great fabrics.

Sweet Lolita Mix & Match skirts – Lillycat & MSD sizes

Are you ready for some light blue sweet lolita skirts? These perfect Tsukifly Mix & Match pieces are one of a kind (OOAK) creations with slightly different details, available in Lillycat and MSD size.

Lillycat Sweet Lolita skirt has a high waist part and three rows of ribbons on the back side. It can be worn on top or under a shirt/corset. Small bow ties are positioned randomly  on the skirt and hem decorated with two different laces. Made out of sturdy light blue taffeta the skirt maintains its shape and can be worn with or without a separate tulle skirt.

MSD sized sweet lolita skirt has a polka dot brown/mint fabric for the waist and sturdy light blue taffeta for the skirt part. This skirt fastens with snap fasteners at the back and can be worn similarly on or under a shirt/top. Hem is lined with minty lace and ribbon bow ties are similarly randomly sewn over the skirt part.

Tulle & Lace skirts – Various sizes

Because girls can never have enough skirts and because those skirts that can be used with many different outfits are great multipurpose pieces I decided to turn some of the tulle and lace fabrics into skirts as I found some excess tulle from the box. More sturdy and some soft. Different colors. Enough lace for a skirt is more of a rarity, thus I anticipate that there will not be too many of those to come.

There will be a soft beige tulle skirt, a mint lace skirt and a pink sturdy tulle skirt available through Etsy soon. Working on the listings as we speak. All those may be used as a petticoat or on their own. All have an elastic waist band and therefore they fit for various sized dolls. Each of the skirts also comes with a small bow tie detail.

So things coming up – keep checking Etsy, blog and Instagram ~

Doll dreams and updates

I will share one of my long-term doll dreams.

Ever since I sold my tanned Supia Rosy girl (so lovely tan skin colour!) I have been pondering over the thought of getting a tanned girl at some point. Since I seem to maintain my ‘all girl’ group in which no boy is or has been able to penetrate, this tanned one should be a girl as well. My choice to be my tanned beauty? Read further ~

It is very likely that I would like to go for Peak’s Woods as they have always been among my favourite doll companies. I love their gorgeous face-ups, lovely models and styling. However, I haven’t got a chance (for one reason or the other) to order just yet, perhaps next time. But I have pretty much finally settled on a target.

Previously a very strong candidate was a Tanned Goldie. However, ever since the release of Tristan… Fairies of Colors (FOC) Tristan in tanned skin color (!) I have missed my chances twice now, perhaps the third one will be the one?

First was FOC LE Elf Tristan who would have been absolutely gorgeous to own. I am also a fan of dolls with elf ears (or other type of fancy ears) and currently half of my crew has some type of fantasy ears. While I loved the ears and the skin color I had certain doubts on the half closed eyes. Previously I haven’t fired well with them, I don’t seem to get contact…

Another time I missed her was FOC Tristan the Beauty_Beauty and the Beast in Valentine Punk . The whole set would have been wonderful and I liked the face-up as well. But the timing was off for me, so much so I couldn’t make it happen. So either I will try to look for her from second hand market (has proven quite impossible!) or Peak’s Woods will release her again at some point.

Peak’s Woods’ Urban Brown skin color ~!

She has a steampunk style character, part of the same story as my Lillycat Ellana, Freya. A curious combo I should say, but might they would be interesting together ~ In writing their visual appearances aren’t described in any conclusive way so they have quite a lot of leeway as to their doll forms.

Tsukifly Orange/Brown/Blue Patterned Stockings in MSD/MNF/Unoa size

An in progress picture of these was already posted in Instagram. I decided to post the MSD size on Etsy first as the Lillycat design still needs some further work. Personally I like the pattern on the  fabric. These stockings will certainly bring some spark into any outfit.

Pullip fever and Tsukifly vintage month

Done and dusted.

Oh? You would like to have a bit more to read than the headline and one sentence? Sure. I will gladly elaborate on that request.

I haven’t actually got any Pullip that was original release by Groove. However, I previously had a great fancy over the Red Riding Hood Pullip – still do actually. When the time is suitable I may still consider getting her.

Another, intriguing new release coming in (although release is delayed till March I hear) is Pullip Optical Alice. I like her outfit and the overall design of her. While something didn’t strike me quite right with the Red Queen Pullip I might consider this one.

Overall, from the three Pullips I mentioned above and now that I look at the pictures again, I still feel like wanting to get my own Red Riding Hood at one point or another… We shall see whether I feel tempted by this new Optical Alice after its release…

Tsukifly Vintage Month

I strongly feel the headline is already kind of self-explanatory. February for Tsukifly has a theme of Vintage. What this means in practice is that the outfits for Etsy for February are both styled and made from vintage materials. All fabrics, laces and materials have been fully washed before any sewing has taken place. Additionally pieces are largely hand-fitted and hand-sewn as they are delicate. Still, I have found they are surprisingly sturdy and generally have lovely shade of white/off-white colors. I am a huge fan of these fabrics~

I have come to conclude that this practice of mine trying to choose a specific size for a month didn’t really work. It is more how I feel, for which size I have inspiration to sew for. Thus, trying to set such a restriction was a no-go. Therefore I will try this more lenient approach with themes ^-^

At least for February setting a theme was easy. As I stumbled across my fabric boxes I found all these nice laces. I call that an inspiration. While I wasn’t feeling quite well for the last months of the year 2016 it was all the more nice to be through my fabrics once again to have an idea what is in there. A lot. It seems to be that you can never have enough of fabrics. Always in need to this and that. Or the pieces aren’t big enough. Or something else isn’t quite right for the design etc.

Vintage for EtsySAMSUNG CSC

So, for the vintage themed month of February Tsukifly store will have few theme related additions coming up. Let’s start with what I completed first. A vintage style outfit set for slim mini/MNF/Unoa size. The set will come with a white/off-white colored one-piece dress and a tulle skirt. I especially like how the different fabrics and laces came together. I used five different laces / lace fabrics and two ribbons. This will also fit flat chest MSDs as it is tied from the backside with that minty ribbon, so there is room for adjustment.

Second with more vintage feeling (?) is a Dollfie Dream (DD) dress. Rein is M-bust with Dollfie Dream Sister body, but the dress was made so its SAMSUNG CSCnot too tight but instead has an airy feeling to it. Overall more of a classical style. For this I used also five different lace fabrics / laces. The lace collar/choker with a ribbon is separate from the dress. Zipper on the back side to make it easy to take off and put on.

Now that I come to think of it… The vintage lace dress is probably also first full outfit for DD size in Etsy. I remember completing few of the lace tops previously but they don’t count as an outfit. So happy for that as well! Teasers of the dresses here, more info, pictures etc. on Etsy ^^ I hope you like them!

Lately I have gone through my unfinished/in-progress box and all the stuff I have found! They are what the box is for – still unfinished/half-done but I intend to get around to finish them one by one at some point. First was this legwarmer/armwarmer pair for MSD/Unoa size. I have had them knitted for ages but they were missing finishing touches. Here they are. Finally. I do like how they look on Lune but then again she will not get to keep them. I still need to figure out what kind of style I would like for her… Bloomers, lace top and a short skirt perhaps?

Tsukifly 2017 lauch

First update for the year 2017!

It is white and snowy outside and few snapshots of the recent updates for Tsukifly Etsy shop were just taken. Few winter accessories. Fluffy and cute headdresses and hats.

SAMSUNG CSC

I did post preview pictures of the products already in my previous post but since I did not have my lovely girls on my christmas travels these appear in Etsy only just now with their model pictures.

Here is Lunetta modelling one of the smaller headdresses. There are two available. Size is suitable for both MSD and Tiny. There is also one in Cream color for SD size.

Another addition for now was those two animal hats for bigger size – Pullip and Blythe. 10 inch heads in general. SAMSUNG CSCHere is Tsukifly Pullip custom Papillon modelling the cat hat.

I have also discounted certain products for New Years sale section to make room for new designs and plans. I hope they are to you liking!

Two dress sets are coming shortly as I have time to finish few last pieces for both of them. One in Pullip/Blythe size and one in Dust of Dolls size. Both of these sets will include a dress and a tulle skirt.

I shall update more plans and picture sooner or later. In the meantime please check Etsy and Flickr.

Season’s greetings!

This month has had some trials for me and for this reason I have been quiet with both blog and updating of new items for Etsy. Last month we saw quite many updates in the beginning of month so I hope they compensate a bit for the lack of them for the time being.

Now I wish a very Merry Xmas and a wonderful New Year 2017!

Plans to update new Etsy items properly probably need to wait until January as I wish to update some pictures at the same time.

My warmest thank you for all the customers who have made orders through Etsy shop in 2016.

Tsukifly has a new model, a tanned Blythe Girl named Mella. She is modelling one of the new fluffy animal hats completed for the next Etsy update. A glimpse of a new dress as well. These hats and dresses will also fit for Pullip size.

Previously I was greatly happy about the few pairs of Tsukifly socks I finished. As I still had a small piece of the fabric I have finished a special pair Blythe size socks. Best fit for Pureneemo body.

SAMSUNG CSC

They differ from the bigger pairs in used lace and tiny black ribbons. So more details in them. Cute if I may say so!

I was asked to try out some animal headdresses and hats in Pullip and other sizes and there they are. Two white fluffy hats in Pullip/Blythe sizes – around 10 inches. Cat and Bunny designs. Three bunny headdresses with ribbon details. Smaller as well. Tiny/MSD sizes. More pictures of those in January.

Monthly Update: August

Fresh start after the holiday travels around the country?

I would expect so. At least my writing desk is full of sketches. In addition I have acquired some vintage laces and fabrics which I plan to use for some of the new designs. This month is also dedicated for a particular size – Lillycat Cerisedolls. This means that majority of new Etsy additions during this month will be in that size. The next month is for a regular MSD size which some of you may have hoped for some time already.

Certain very lace filled dresses / outfit pieces coming!

Latest Etsy additions: Tsukifly Lillycat Gold framed dream dress set

This dress set includes a one-piece dress with a corset-style upper part made of il_570xN.1068887837_pfmp
black&gold pattern fabric. Details are with different laces and ribbons. The skirt part consists of two layers of airy black&gold lace. The back of the skirt is left open and may be widened to show more or less of the underlying separate black tulle skirt. Fastening is with a black ribbon and a line of snap fasteners (3 corresponding pieces).

Launch of Tsukifly Vintage Line

I am rather proud to tell you that I got carried away by this prevailing vintage boom. Good thing? Yes. Having acquired some pretty nice vintage fabric pieces I have done some work to take them apart and turn them into unique Tsukifly pieces.

First was my recent find of a lovely white fabric with flower embellishments. Patterns are embroidered on the fabric and I thought I cannot miss the chance to use it for some lovely upper parts. Thus, two pieces of corset tops. As you may remember each Tsukifly product is OOAK and although these may (at first glance) seem the same they are not. First, the one pictured under the other is in Lillycat size with lower and rounder edge. The other is more smooth on the edge and in regular MSD size. To complement the set there may be a yo-sd corset top still to come. Previously it has been common to have certain pieces in three different sizes. Check the two of them in Etsy.

Coming soon: Tsukifly Custom Pullip Huurre

Another news is to tell that the third Tsukifly Custom Pullip is going to be finished rather soon. She is in fair normal skin with white theme. Currently I am still working on latausher box and some additional things. Pictures will follow soon. A teaser to give you an idea ~

Certain finishing will follow on her face-up still, so not a final picture of her. The plan is that the set will include doll, white wig, Tsukifly dress set, shoes and accessories. This follows the pattern of the two previous complete custom sets: Sarinna and Éclair.

Other plans on the table – Dress set in SD/SD13

As I mentioned I have plenty of sketches to try out. However, the time available is limited. I can tell that I am building a crimson red outfit set for SD/SD13 size with several pieces. An underskirt and top, one-piece upper dress, choker and arm pieces. As the plan is there are in reality two dresses in one as the underskirt and top can be used together without other pieces of the set.

To summarize, the coming months seem to be full of plans and things to be completed. I advise you to keep a sharp eye on Etsy as the shop is updated with new pieces.
