Marching towards summer

Last month was a productive month for me. WAIT? Which month? I have noted that I missed completely last month’s update even though I had written it ready… Better late than never, mmm? ūüėÄ

Often times I have too many ideas and too little time to get things done. Perhaps the increased light outside also has something to do with the productivity? Today is cloudy / rain but I don’t think that will keep me inside.

I want to start the day by doing this massive update so that it will be done. And then it will also serve as a recap for myself.

First I will remind you of the Lillycat Pastel deer dress setil_fullxfull.1479237711_mursSAMSUNG CSCThose pastel colors together with the deep red deer headpiece are lovely. The deer pendant in front crowns the whole dress. For me anyway. Being a deer fan myself. Not to mention I love adding details ~

March also saw an addition to Tsukifly pattern section. A PDF pattern for a simple above knee-length Unoa/Slim mini/MNF skirt. This pattern took hours longer than the Pullip/Blythe skirt because it has more shapes to make it fit around the waist. I am pleased on the outcome though. Check the pattern from here.

Then I completed a white fleece winter coat for Tiny/Yo-SD. It has been in my project box since winter holidays… Took three months to get it finished. Lack of time?¬† It is made out of white soft fleece, has white pearl and bowtie details around the hem and minty ribbon to close it in front. I chose to leave the inside lining because this would have been too much for the whole. Its a little big for Mina (our model in this pic). So better fit for e.g. Soom Tinies.

Another Yo-SD/Tiny sized piece for Etsy was Color Bits tulle dream dress. Part of Vintage line as the top part of the dress is made out of hand crafted vintage lace / cotton fabric. Its very sturdy and has little details out of different laces, pearls and ribbons. Skirt part is made out of fluffy white tulle with strands of little color bits. Ribbons to attach the dress from the backside.

The last thing for March (I think) was to complete Winter Colors knitted scarf & hat set. It is modelled by Rein, my Dollfie Dream Saber, whose head is 8-9 inch. Thus the set will fit SAMSUNG CSCdolls with that head size. E.g. Lillycat Ellana and bigger girls like Soom girls.

Now I think we are in for the April updates. Before that I want to say:¬†Thank you for all of you who have commissioned me! I have been so happy to take on those little challenges‚̧

I cannot say my productivity has in anyway diminished during April. I had a pleasure to travel a bit after two years of break in between (unintentional) at the end of March and at the beginning of April. From those travels I have derived new ideas as well.

Previously I have been asked to try out making a travel pouch. So I made one. With a candy (sweet & delicious) design¬†ūüć¨

Etsy currently has two tiny / yo-SD / pureneemo pouches ready made. Other sizes can be made to order. One such was one in MNF / Unoa size and another in Pullip size.¬† Each pouch is made of thicker outer fabric and softer inside fabric. Each end has colorful ribbons to tie the pouch and in between there are velcro pieces to close the pouch. A separate head protector is recommended to be used when your doll is travelling inside the pouch ūüôā I made one extra for Riri (Pureneemo Aika) to use as she had none of her own previously.

I also completed three animal headbands for Tiny / Yo-SD / Unoa heads. Here the model is Yuiko, the newest addition to my doll family. I will write a longer description of her character a bit later. There are two more bunny headdresses with fleece bottoms waiting to be finished. I will add those into the listing as I get them done ūüôā

A new summer straw hat was completed. Fits for Pureneemo and Soom minigems. These are rather rare as I hardly ever find suitable straw hat bases to work with. Everytime I do, its fun. Riri also shows a little teaser for a pureneemo dress coming next month (its one of three in that size). They also fit for Blythe and Pullip.

The same dress from two angles? In a way yes. You see Yuiko and Lunette (This Souldoll cutie is currently also looking for a new home) modelling the newest addition to Etsy, the Baby Pink dress set. It is a pink Paris themed dress with a cute head bowtie. Lower layer made of tulle, decorated with bows and ribbons this dress is something your cute pink loving unoa / slim mini / MNF girl would love to have.

There is also a previously completed Walolita style outfit for Pureneemos and Pullips. You may remember seeing some teaser of the upper part of this dress set in Instagram.

il_570xN.1496598171_d0du.jpgNow the dress set is also on Etsy. The dress set comes with a head bowtie, upper shirt and separate high waist skirt and decorated Japanese ribbon as obi.

I really like this design. I had a pleasure to complete few commission of this design as well. Perhaps I should consider making one for Yuiko or perhaps Freya?

I will save a bit of stuff for the next month. I also completed another Unoa / MNF Dress of which there is a teaser in Instagram. However, it is taking me a bit longer to post it up. And while it takes a bit I conclude this post is quire full of pics already. The next one might end up looking rather empty after such a “spam”. I hope not though ^^;

More updates next month

Tsukifly Dresstime

A new week has started. September is almost here. It feels weird to consider that practically it is autumn already. I don’t think Finland really saw so much of the summer. If you do not count those few exceptions. It has been constant rain / sun combo around Helsinki at least. My cornflowers have gone wild.

Last week we had a fun meet-up at downtown Helsinki with amazing people and their dolls, bjds and pureneemos. My combo of few of my favourite pictures. Once again thank you everybody: Dark, Fyrd8th, Safir, Sarqq and Tiinyan.

Over the weekend I had a massive cleaning operation. I have long felt that my “hobby closet” as I call it has become a one big mess. One from which you don’t find anything anymore. I love all kinds of tins and cute boxes so there are plenty of those with which I try to keep the order. However, stuff keep coming in and obviously more comes in than I have time to use. So I took everything out, sorted them again, threw something away. Well, you know how it goes. And my table was an even bigger mess for two whole days. Now I am almost satisfied, for the time being.

SAMSUNG CSCWhile on summer holiday I had a pleasure to bring this little fellow back home with me for a visit. Sheng is Neo Angelregion’s Gato. A mischievous little thing, I mean, a cat, whose dream is to conquer the world (read: total world domination, no less). You got to dream big, right? And since when did the size have any role in the matter?

I was going over the sale things and this great little bed seemed to please Sheng quite a bit. He is not going to have it tho. But for this once he did have a test run. Magnificent cats do not have fleas either. So whoever will be the new owner of this 25cm cosy bed is sure to have a clean bed to sleep in.

While doing this massive cleaning operation I also completed two of those -in progress- dresses I came across. First is the dress for Dollfie Dream (DD). It is made to fit DDS, so sister body although will fit the regular dd body as well. Well fitted this time although pattern needs some adjustments which I came across while making the dress. Overall I am very happy with the completed dress though. It has been listed on Etsy.

Another one was a light dreamy colored Yo-SD/tiny size dress. I suppose you could call it a babydoll nightie. It is quite puffy from the waist area because of those three layers of tulle and lace. Kinda reminds me of those historical gowns. The upper part of the nightie is vintage lace and the dress is mostly hand-sewn with pink ribbon details. In addition I wanted two lace bowties on each side of the dress. Details ~  Also found from Etsy now.

Those two dresses are the last additions for this month. We shall see what the next month will bring into the shop~

August Tsukifly updates

Hello hello ~

SAM_6545

Here is a piece of little Mina (Aileendoll Camellia) dreaming outside.

August updates have been added to Tsukifly Etsy shop as I have just finished several pieces. I still have too many on my table to “be finished” and I will get there at some point. So far I am really happy with new designs and I am hoping they will turn out to be functional Mix & Match pieces. Rein seems to approve as she has been a great model.

Sharp eyed may have spotted preview pictures from Instagram for some of these pieces. First I have finished two pairs of Tsukifly brassieres. Colors do contrast each other as I wanted to have both “black and white” options available to start with. I am rather happy how they turned out. Fit is good and inside lining creates kind of push-up effect, more than when there is no inside lining.

These two designs have now been added to Etsy. Both close with hook and eye closures. Rein has M-bust which to my understanding is quite close to many mature SD bust sizes.

Secondly there are two designs of Tsukifly Summer Tops. I have several designs on my table still waiting to be finished. These are out now. Baby blue checkered summer top and a floral beige summer top with lace tie-around neck detail. Available at Etsy. In addition I shall update the listing later on as I finish more designs.

Few short bloomers have found their way to Etsy as well. Best fit for Dust of Dolls but also great on tiny sized dolls. For example under a skirt. Find them here.

Those three new listings are the new things. Otherwise I feel like I need to consider the styles of my girls again. It seems some of them didn’t turn out as I hoped with the new dresses and wigs. Well ^^; not always it goes as planned. We shall see.

Season’s greetings!

This month has had some trials for me and for this reason I have been quiet with both blog and updating of new items for Etsy. Last month we saw quite many updates in the beginning of month so I hope they compensate a bit for the lack of them for the time being.

Now I wish a very Merry Xmas and a wonderful New Year 2017!

Plans to update new Etsy items properly probably need to wait until January as I wish to update some pictures at the same time.

My warmest thank you for all the customers who have made orders through Etsy shop in 2016.

Tsukifly has a new model, a tanned Blythe Girl named Mella. She is modelling one of the new fluffy animal hats completed for the next Etsy update. A glimpse of a new dress as well. These hats and dresses will also fit for Pullip size.

Previously I was greatly happy about the few pairs of Tsukifly socks I finished. As I still had a small piece of the fabric I have finished a special pair Blythe size socks. Best fit for Pureneemo body.

SAMSUNG CSC

They differ from the bigger pairs in used lace and tiny black ribbons. So more details in them. Cute if I may say so!

I was asked to try out some animal headdresses and hats in Pullip and other sizes and there they are. Two white fluffy hats in Pullip/Blythe sizes – around 10 inches. Cat and Bunny designs. Three bunny headdresses with ribbon details. Smaller as well. Tiny/MSD sizes. More pictures of those in January.

September update

Since my last update there has been lots of fun and new ideas and creations.

On the working table this month we have (to start with): Leeke art-body commission (2/3 completed), a sleeveless MSD Polkadot dress and lace tops in various sizes (SD/MSD etc.).

Those of you who have been out with their sharp eyes have seen quite a few new listings pop-up in Tsukifly Etsy shop. The dress I described previously was completed for Supergem / SD16 rather than in more common SD/SD13. A new custom Pullip, Huurre is now available in Etsy as well. I hope you like her ~

Gem within new creations is the short Kimono robe for Lillycat Cerisedolls. Additionally I have found that this also fits for MSDs, Leeke Art-body etc. albeit may not sit smoothly. il_fullxfull.1035139518_sd76However, best fit is always for the one it was made for. This is knee-length kimono robe with a black wide satin ribbon to tie as a functional obi around the waist. It is without lining, neat seams.  There is also a snap-fastener to keep the kimono fastened without the obi, but it brings the detail for the whole.

Personally I am pleased with the Japanese kimono fabric and how well it turned out as a whole. Later I have plans for two long kimonos with lining. However, so far this is the only dark colored kimono there will be for now. Use the opportunity if black is what you are looking for.

I also completed one of my long-time projects, this flower parasol, which now makes its first appearance with the kimono robe. It is made of different sized foam and paper flowers, carefully attached on top of and around a metal frame of my own design. Lace is used for the handle to make it an easy fit for different doll’s hands and also functions as a nice detail.

Co29374385481_7e7dfbb7d0_zming up: A black satin corset top for Lillycat Cerisedolls. I must say that this is one of my personal favorites from Tsukifly products so far. A multi-use piece to make a festive whole. Black patterned satin fabric, black shoulder strap details and hook & eye closure with a cute light brown polkadot lining in the inside (light in color to avoid any staining).

The brass/silver dragonfly choker will also be available later. It is an accessory piece completed already a while ago but only now has emerged from the depths of the closet. Makes a lovely addition for this as well.

As can be seen new creations vary quite a lot. All the way from smaller mix & match pieces to full outfit sets. Quite many of the newest pieces are in Lillycat size, the focus of August. Now for this month the focus will be on regular MSD and slim MSD size. Then possibly going for even smaller with a dedicated month for Yo-SD/Tiny size. So you have some indication. On the other hand I will not say all the creations are confined in those particular monthly sizes. Thus, occasional pieces in other sizes are sure to appear. We will wait and see.

Additionally I have made some small changes and improvements¬†to the appearances of¬†my girls. Lunetta got a lovely blushing for her upper body (all thanks to Idaheika!) to bring in some color on her. Later I completed a manicure for her small fingers. Freya got new eyelashes with more volume and black color¬†andsome more point in her face-up. Now I am looking for a mohair wig for Lunetta but so far the tiny size of her head has proven somewhat a challenge…
