The header tells it pretty well. During October my sewing table was mainly filled with fabric pieces aiming to complete dresses in Lillycat size. Still there are few unfinished but I am slowly getting there.
Do you know it when you have an amazing plan and it does not quite work out the way you had visioned? That has happened few times now. A pouch thing I was trying out… Did not quite work out. I know why, isn’t that why you make prototypes, try out, fail, adjust and eventually succeed? YES. Trial and Error.
Eden lace was a success. I have been storing that minty lace for ages now. There was also no logic in the way I had stored it. The lace was in one place, those “sleeves” I had already cut some time ago, where in another place. I was almost cutting another pair but managed to find them just in time. I am happy how the dress turned out. The color combo is calming with a hint of mint.
Take a further look at Eden Lace. The sleeves and the upper part of the skirt is from the lace with a hint of chocolate (brown color). White corset style upper part, details with delicate vintage lace, beads and bow tie. Around the waist I have used heavier lace in Turquoise color. The skirt has underskirt from a one coloured mint fabric. Hook and eye closure on the back side keeps the dress on its place. Sleeves are from the lace with elastic lace on top to keep the sleeves at the height you prefer.
Around the same time as the Eden Lace I had a moment I wanted to make some necklaces. So “Bottled” necklaces where made. Nothing too unique it seems but I enjoyed making them and hope you find them nice additions for any outfit. Lots of different colors and fillings available here. My favorite one is the round one with clear/white diamonds and dragonfly detail. That was to be expected, no?
Halloween was not successful this year in the sense that I was not able to complete the special dress plan I had. It seems to come as a surprise to me. Every time. I have planned to finish a Halloween special dress for years but haven’t so far managed in time. I need to make a mental note that the Halloween is (for me) a month earlier. So at the end of September I should have planned – preferably also completed the Special dress with Halloween theme. With you as my witnesses I shall make the promise to try this in 2019. I have the broom planned already! And it will most likely be in MNF/Unoa size.
As we are already in November I want to mention the latest Etsy addition as well. After having a pink period it seemed appropriate to reflect it somehow in my creations. So, Softest touch was created. First Tsukifly Art line dress, where higher quality evening gown fabrics were used.
Softest touch has a corset style upper part is from a rosy silk fabric, which catches the light in delightful way. I used a piece of delicate pink lace and antique rose ribbon to create bowtie details in front and on the sides of the dress. The skirt has amazing glittery tulle on top, pink satin one colored fabric as a second layer. Hook and eye closure on the back side. The dress will come with the black elastic lace highlight choker which has a crown detail.
There are tons of things on my table that need to be completed. If there is something you would like to wish for, some specific size/style etc. I am always happy to hear. While I cannot promise I can complete your wishes anytime soon, I am sure to keep them in my mind for future. So keep me posted ^-^
And I want to thank you for your continuing support. I love all those reviews and pictures you have written and sent me. Thank you! *Hugs*
